Accreditations
The Connecticut Association of Not-for-profit Providers For the Aging was founded in 1961 to represent and promote the interests of non-profit long-term care providers in Connecticut. Today, we have approximately 150 members who care for 15,000 elderly at their facilities and in the community. Our members include nonprofit nursing homes, residential care homes, subsidized senior housing, continuing care retirement communities, assisted living, home health care agencies and adult day centers. CANPFA is dedicated to assisting its members fulfill their missions and to promoting the Association's vision through leadership, advocacy, education and opportunities for collaboration and fellowship.
The American Association of Homes and Services for the Aging (AAHSA) represents not-for-profit organizations dedicated to providing high-quality health care, housing and services to the nation’s elderly. Its membership consists of over 5,000 not-for-profit nursing homes, continuing care retirement communities, senior housing facilities, assisted living and community services. AAHSA organizations serve more than one million older persons of all income levels, creed and races.
